The hookon boat retrieval system was founded on thoughts of safety and the struggles of loading boats onto trailers at boat launches/ramps.  

Multiple accidents have occurred worldwide, including death and injury at launches and ramps. The invention came to mind with the solution of creating such a device that cradles the trailer hook and holds the hook secure via magnets, rather than submerging yourself into the water or as the most dangerous I've seen is people walking on their trailers to reach the eye of the boat to hook the trailer strap in.
